Category support in Blot
Over the weekend I've been adding hierarchical category support to
Blot. The main motivation for this was so I can categorise posts relating to a particular project and then include a log of those posts on the project page over on josephson.org.
As an example I've assigned a category to the posts relating to the WELL Members' Blogs project.

Links and permalinks (in RSS 2.0)
Today,
Dave Winer linked to a post by
Brent Simmons about link elements in RSS 2.0 and
whether they should be permalinks or if they should point to an external page.
I think this is relevant to a couple of the wellblogs feeds so probably one of the next updates I'm going to do is to handle this by looking for guid elements that look like URLs and using these as permalinks where available.
